Booker — Unified Finance Manager (Mobile MVP)
Mobile-first MVP for simplifying fragmented personal finance apps
Booker started as an idea to simplify personal finance management for users overwhelmed by fragmented banking apps and spreadsheets. The challenge was to combine clarity, control and motivation in a single mobile experience without turning it into a complex financial tool.
Problem
Many users juggle multiple financial apps for accounts, budgeting, goals and insights. This fragmentation causes confusion, poor visibility into real finances, and low ongoing engagement.
Goal
Deliver a mobile MVP that:
- unifies financial accounts in one dashboard,
- provides clear goal tracking,
- surfaces personalized insights (AI-driven),
- feels intuitive even to non-technical users.
Focus was on simplicity and validation — not full product completeness.
Solution
To address fragmentation and complexity, I designed Booker to:
- Aggregate accounts into a unified overview instead of separate screens,
- Use visual goal progress elements to increase daily engagement,
- Add personalized insights to guide user decisions,
- Apply a mobile-first structure with calm visuals and prioritised flows.
Decisions were driven by real user priorities: clarity first, features second.
Clean Data Visualization
Charts and summaries are designed to communicate key information quickly and intuitively.
Goal Tracking
Users can define financial goals and track progress in a clear, motivating way.
Smart Insights
AI-driven insights help users understand spending patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Unified Financial Overview
All accounts and financial data are aggregated into a single dashboard, giving users an instant overview of their financial status.
Outcome
- Complete mobile MVP design ready for testing and iteration,
- A product framework that can scale with real backend and AI features,
- Clear flows and UI that reduce cognitive load for finance tracking.
